Summer Time Summer Time

Turns out this blog thing is a little harder than I thought!  Evidently, as it has taken me 6 months to get this posted! I started to type I will try harder, but with life being so busy, I am not going to put that in writing. :)

We are having so much fun this summer!  Between Logan and Jack, we are laughing constantly.  Don't get me wrong, we are very tired too, but worth it all.

Jack is a very very busy boy!  Linda thinks he is following in his Auntie Ali's footsteps as Ali was an extremely active baby (taking apart cribs busy!).  When I first heard those stories I have to admit I thought maybe Linda was stretching the truth, but now that I see Jack, I know she wasn't!  Give Jack time and he will take apart a crib or literally climb a wall.  The boy never stops!  He amazes Jacob and I every day as he crosses lines Logan never did.  One day I turned my head for about 30 seconds and when I turned back he was sitting 'in' the fireplace!  Yes, we are finally going to buy a screen for it, but then we will worry about him ripping it off. :) We also bought a cage (bad name) for him so that we can keep him contained if we need to leave the room for a short bit.  He loves trying to get into the garbage can.  He will climb up on it when you aren't looking but when you notice he quickly takes off.  He thinks it is a game and laughs when you start to chase after him.  Goodness!

Logan has gotten very good at escaping from Jack's fast hands.  He absolutely loves her curly hair and tries to grab handfuls.  Jack adores Logan, and she him (well when he isn't trying to rip her hair out!).  She can get him laughing so hard just by talking to him.  So very sweet!  Logan also keeps us amazed as she is getting so witty and smart.  Daddy is working on teaching her the states and capitals.  So far she knows Texas, Nebraska, Kansas, Florida, and Iowa.  She is a sweet little girl and rarely gives us any problems.  We do have a naughty chair though, and we are impressed at the power it has over her - but I am sure that won't last long!  We are working diligently at getting her potty trained.  Our new technique is using M&M Candy to entice her to go.  Lately she has figured it out and says "I want candy" and runs to the bathroom. :) Whatever works!!
Instead of posting the pictures here I am going to send you to shutterfly to view them. (Easier!)  You will see pictures from Easter, playing around the house, swimming, trip to the zoo, and Lu's (Logan) first hair cut.  Enjoy! See - http://loganandjack.shutterfly.com/

Holiday Time

Christmas has come and gone and it seems like a big blur!  We had such a good time this past month and had lots to keep us busy.  We spent many nights driving around looking at Christmas lights as Logan loved them.  She would yell out 'oohs' and 'ahhs' and say 'more!'. We celebrated two Christmas' - once with the Yungbluts a few days before Christmas and then again in Canada with my family.  They received so many presents and Logan really enjoyed opening them.  We had a blast in Canada and had a very white Christmas - almost a foot of snow fell on Christmas Eve.  Logan loved playing with her cousins and fell in love with Lisa's dog, Mazzie.  It was great for Papa Jack to finally meet little Jack, and Jack had lots of smiles for him.

Enjoy the pictures from the last month!

Happy New Year to all!!

Yesterday we went for lunch with Mark, Ali and Drew and Logan impressed us all by hangin a spoon on her nose!  Very funny!  She saw it on one of her shows, Yo Gabba Gabba, and was able to do it herself.   Drew had his own funny trick, flipping his eyelids up, but I can't post that picture - it makes Jacob queezy!

Auntie Lisa bought Logan a dress up kit and here she is all decked out as a princess.  Cutie pie!

Jack pondering what he wants for Christmas. :)

Logan loves black olives and has discovered how to put them on her fingers.  She was quite proud of this accomplishment!

Logan is really loving her little brother and was entertaining him while he did tummy time.

Cousin Drew came to visit and Logan had fun drawing with him.

Peek a boo!

Here Logan is playing in one of the many little houses in Santa's Village in McKinney.  We met Drew and Ali to go see Santa.  Logan wasn't too impressed with Santa but she did like his reindeer and spending time with Drew and Ali. Jack on the other hand didn't mind Santa and looked quite comfy on his lap.  (I would add a picture but I need to scan it and that is at work! :) )

Giving Drew a kiss!  She loves her Drew!

Sweet cousin Drew reading Logan her story before bed.

Our strong boy doing some great tummy time!  He does so good and will push himself up to see what is going on.

Logan made us laugh here.  She picked up Daddy's stock prospectus and started to read it like a book.

Our happy boy!  If you just glance at Jack he will give you smile that will melt your heart!
Logan checking out the Christmas tree with Daddy.

Logan decided to get all of Jack's toys and give them to him. Not sure he liked it too much but she is a very sweet big sister.

Logan having fun opening all her presents from the Yungbluts/Reynolds.  She was so excited she didn't know which way to turn.

Here she is playing with her cousin Jordyn.  She loved Jordyn!  Jordyn was so sweet with her.

Logan on Christmas morning checking out her Elmo Live doll.  She was a bit intimidated by it.  Now he annoys her as he keeps singing when she is finished playing with him. She puts him in time out and shakes her finger at him and says "Elmo no singing!  Time Out!"  Pretty funny!

Logan and Lisa's dog Mazzie.  She loves her!  We are using Skype now so Logan can see Mazzie whenever she wants. Plus we won't have to get a real dog as we can use Mazzie virtually!

Proud Papa Jack and litle Jack and Logan.

Logan and Jack with their cousins, Kelsie, Adam, and Jordyn.

Posing by the big snow bank outside my Dad's house in Canada.  Logan loved the snow but the little stinker was scared to walk on it.  Jacob and I had to carry her!

Beautiful picture of Logan and Daddy.

Logan thinks snowmen are the greatest so she was so happy to see the snowman Daddy built for her.

Sitting by the window at Papa Jacks.  Very pretty view!

We woke up one morning and it was -20 so Jacob took a picture in his short sleeves.

This is the next morning and it was now -30.  He wasn't too anxious to take a picture this morning! :)

Here we are back in Dallas at the Gaylord Hotel's ICE exhibit.  They have a huge display of ice sculptures and it is very cold inside - 9 degrees.  They have these big blue parkas you have to wear.  We went with Bubba, Ali and Drew.  Logan loved it and she looked so cute in her parka.

Bubba and Logan enjoying the ICE display.

Logan having fun with Auntie Ali at the Gaylord Texan.  Pretty impresive hotel!

Fall 2009 - Part I

Hi All,
So sorry it has been SO long since our last post.  Easter!! Geez I have really been slacking!  Now I have 2 kiddo's to brag about so I better get my act together!

Since Jack's arrival we have been having so much fun!  Now that Jack and I are getting our sleeping schedule figured out we are able to get out and do more.  He is really a great baby.  He likes to grunt and rarely cries.  He is eating great and is already growing out of his 3 month outfits.  He not only looks like his Daddy but may be a big boy like him. :)

Logan is doing really good with her baby brother.  At times she gets jealous when we are holding him and points to the floor and says "baby Jack down!".  She likes to point out his features and we have to catch her before she pokes him in the eye.  She is so much fun and just makes Jacob and I laugh with her antics.  Oh did I mention smart!  She knows most of her colors and likes to sing the "abc" song.  She saw a stop sign the other day and said "Octagon".  Jacob and I were shocked!  :)

Here are some pictures from this Fall so enjoy!

One of our neighbors surprised us and had this big stork placed on our lawn for a week.

Our little man at 3 weeks old.

Logan's school had western day so this is her get-up.  This is the best picture she would let me take.

Logan found the swiffer and loves to clean the kitchen floors.  She loves to clean anything.  At the grocery store the other day Jacob let her get a toy and she picked out a duster. HA!  More evidence my Mom had a big hand in making her.

Baby Jack doing his tummy time.  He was taking a break.

Logan's beautiful curls.

Logan having fun at our trip to the pumpkin patch to buy our pumpkins.

Our bedtime routine for Logan is to play in her room for 30 minutes before lights out.  She has found a basket of random clothing accessories and likes to put them on.  Here she is with a bandana hat and belt and flowery panties. Trend setter!!

Lulu (her nickname) coloring at the table Mimi and Bubba bought her.

She likes trying on my shoes and here she is with my runners. She came walking out with them proud as can be!

Daddy hanging out with his babies.

Jumping in the bounce house at a birthday party. She was a wild child in there and had so much fun.  She still talks about the party.  Guess I know what we will have to have at her 2nd b-day party!

Jack cuddled up in his teddy towel after his bath.

Showing off his "I love Canada" shirt Auntie Veronica sent him.

Snuggling with Daddy.

Getting big! Here he is checking out his crib for the first time.  He slept in a bassinet in our room for the first 6 weeks but is now a big boy in his crib.  He did great with the transition.

We went to a great Pumpkin Patch a couple weekends ago and they had animals, hay rides, and a huge pumpkin patch. We all had a great time and here a few pictures from it.

Our first hay ride.  Logan LOVED it and wanted to go again.

They had these barrel rides and Mommy had to take her because there wasn't room for Daddy and Logan in the barrel.  Jack had to come too - he is hiding in the sling.

This was a huge "neigh neigh" and Logan wasn't scared at all.  She loved him!

Big tough girl trying to pick up a pumpkin.

One of Jack's first smiles.  Cutie pie!!!

On Halloween Jacob and Logan carved 2 pumpkins.  Logan was a very good and patient helper.

Logan digging out the "yuckie" pumpkin stuff.

Logan all ready and dressed up as a lady bug for her first trick or treating outing.

Baby Jack dressed up in his Halloween outfit.  He wasn't too impressed with the hat!  He stayed home with Mimi and Bubba while Jacob and I took Logan trick or treating.

Off we go!  She was so cute because she was all serious about it.  I think seeing all the kids running around dressed up in funny clothes had her a little confused!

Sampling her candy!!  It was a peanut butter cup and she took one bite and handed it back to me.  Lucky girl doesn't have a sweet tooth! After that she was ready to take her costume off and go to bed.  She was wiped!
