Fall 2009 - Part I

Hi All,
So sorry it has been SO long since our last post.  Easter!! Geez I have really been slacking!  Now I have 2 kiddo's to brag about so I better get my act together!

Since Jack's arrival we have been having so much fun!  Now that Jack and I are getting our sleeping schedule figured out we are able to get out and do more.  He is really a great baby.  He likes to grunt and rarely cries.  He is eating great and is already growing out of his 3 month outfits.  He not only looks like his Daddy but may be a big boy like him. :)

Logan is doing really good with her baby brother.  At times she gets jealous when we are holding him and points to the floor and says "baby Jack down!".  She likes to point out his features and we have to catch her before she pokes him in the eye.  She is so much fun and just makes Jacob and I laugh with her antics.  Oh did I mention smart!  She knows most of her colors and likes to sing the "abc" song.  She saw a stop sign the other day and said "Octagon".  Jacob and I were shocked!  :)

Here are some pictures from this Fall so enjoy!

One of our neighbors surprised us and had this big stork placed on our lawn for a week.

Our little man at 3 weeks old.

Logan's school had western day so this is her get-up.  This is the best picture she would let me take.

Logan found the swiffer and loves to clean the kitchen floors.  She loves to clean anything.  At the grocery store the other day Jacob let her get a toy and she picked out a duster. HA!  More evidence my Mom had a big hand in making her.

Baby Jack doing his tummy time.  He was taking a break.

Logan's beautiful curls.

Logan having fun at our trip to the pumpkin patch to buy our pumpkins.

Our bedtime routine for Logan is to play in her room for 30 minutes before lights out.  She has found a basket of random clothing accessories and likes to put them on.  Here she is with a bandana hat and belt and flowery panties. Trend setter!!

Lulu (her nickname) coloring at the table Mimi and Bubba bought her.

She likes trying on my shoes and here she is with my runners. She came walking out with them proud as can be!

Daddy hanging out with his babies.

Jumping in the bounce house at a birthday party. She was a wild child in there and had so much fun.  She still talks about the party.  Guess I know what we will have to have at her 2nd b-day party!

Jack cuddled up in his teddy towel after his bath.

Showing off his "I love Canada" shirt Auntie Veronica sent him.

Snuggling with Daddy.

Getting big! Here he is checking out his crib for the first time.  He slept in a bassinet in our room for the first 6 weeks but is now a big boy in his crib.  He did great with the transition.

We went to a great Pumpkin Patch a couple weekends ago and they had animals, hay rides, and a huge pumpkin patch. We all had a great time and here a few pictures from it.

Our first hay ride.  Logan LOVED it and wanted to go again.

They had these barrel rides and Mommy had to take her because there wasn't room for Daddy and Logan in the barrel.  Jack had to come too - he is hiding in the sling.

This was a huge "neigh neigh" and Logan wasn't scared at all.  She loved him!

Big tough girl trying to pick up a pumpkin.

One of Jack's first smiles.  Cutie pie!!!

On Halloween Jacob and Logan carved 2 pumpkins.  Logan was a very good and patient helper.

Logan digging out the "yuckie" pumpkin stuff.

Logan all ready and dressed up as a lady bug for her first trick or treating outing.

Baby Jack dressed up in his Halloween outfit.  He wasn't too impressed with the hat!  He stayed home with Mimi and Bubba while Jacob and I took Logan trick or treating.

Off we go!  She was so cute because she was all serious about it.  I think seeing all the kids running around dressed up in funny clothes had her a little confused!

Sampling her candy!!  It was a peanut butter cup and she took one bite and handed it back to me.  Lucky girl doesn't have a sweet tooth! After that she was ready to take her costume off and go to bed.  She was wiped!

Easter, birthday parties, the zoo and much more!

Hi Everyone!
Well I hope spring or summer weather has finally arrived to some of you north of here. I know my Dad and sisters in Canada have had a very long winter so hopefully the sun is rearing its head soon! Here in Dallas it has definitely arrived as we were almost at 100 yesterday. YUK! Not looking forward to this heat as Logan loves to be outside and I hate to have to keep her inside when it is so hot outside. Plus being pregnant during the summer is supposed to be miserable!

We have had a very fun spring so far with trips to the zoo, going to several birthday parties, and Logan's first adventure to Mimi and Bubba's lake house. Logan is growing up so fast and she is learning new words everyday. Her dance moves are something special and she can keep a beat pretty good! Her favorite music is rap and bluegrass. Go figure!! She loves to get chased around the house by Daddy and jump on the bed with Mommy. For those of you who haven't heard yet, Logan is going to have a little brother come September. We are very excited to be having a boy but not sure how much Logan will like a new arrival to take away some time from her Momma. :)

Enjoy some of her recent pics - it was hard to choose as there were so many cute ones!

Easter morning after she discovered the grass in the Easter basket was more fun then the presents in it!
Having fun on Easter with her bunny ears Aunt Ali gave her.

Playing in the azalea bushes. She loves flowers.

She imitates us on the phone and picks it up and says "uh huh", "yep", "hello". Very funny! Her latest thing is to give me a phone and then she gets another one and we have to pretend we are talking to each other. :)
Here her and Dadda are looking at the rhinoceros at the Fort Worth Zoo. It is a great zoo and she was so excited to see all the animals.

She stole a roll of toilet paper from the bathroom and Daddy decided to help her make a big, but fun mess!
I never would have thought she could fit in this bin but she did and was quite proud of it!

A precious picture of her and Jacob walking in the park.

Having a great day playing with Auntie Ali and Cousin Drew.

I know my Mom definitely had a hand in making Logan because she loves to clean! She will dust plus she will take her wipes and scrub the floor. AND she loves the vacuum!

She loves her cousin Drew and here she is having a blast imitating him playing with the blocks.

Jacob's new job had a carnival so we took Logan. Her favorite was the petting zoo.
At a many of the birthday parties we went to this spring were bounce houses and Logan was fearless in them. Here she is trying to plan her next strategy to stay on her feet in Angelina Devita's bounce house.

Logan thought it was pretty funny to squeeze into the play drum.

Drew was playing a video game and after watching him for a little bit Logan decided she wanted to play too so she picked up a game controller and began to imitate him. It was hilarious! She caught on so quickly!
This past weekend we finally took Logan to Mimi and Bubba's lake house and she loved it! Here she is on her first ever boat ride with Bubba.
