Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I cannot believe it has been over a month since I last updated the blog! I have been slacking! We have had a very busy month. Poor Logan has been sick for a lot of it with Roseola in November and then a bad cold that turned into an ear infection in December. She has been healthy for a couple weeks now but a runny nose showed up today. :(

In the last month we have done a lot of visiting as Aunt Nancy came from Santa Barabara and soon after Uncle Larry and Aunt June came to visit from Auburn, CA. And to top it all off we just returned from spending Christmas in Canada with my family. Our trip home to Canada was so much fun and Logan was a terrific traveler and had a blast with all her cousins, aunties and Papa. My Dad (Papa) and sisters, Lisa and Ronda, took such good care of us and had lots to entertain us. THANK YOU!!!!!! She fell in love with Aunty Lisa's puppy, Mazzee, as you will see below. Now she is walking around the house saying 'puppy' and going 'ruff, ruff, ruff'. Speaking of walking...she is walking on her own more and more but likes to hold Mama's hand as she gets going so fast she wants to run instead of walk.

She is such a happy little girl and has us laughing all the time. It is amazing all the things she is learning and her favorite thing to do lately is imitate Daddy on the phone by putting her hand on her ear and going "uh, yuh, uh". Very cute!!

Well here are some pics from the last month plus a very cute video of her trying to feed Mazzee her dinner!

Enjoy and Happy Holidays!!

Having fun with Uncle Larry and Aunt June

Waiting for Santa to come!

This day she decided it would be fun to dig in her toy box and throw out everything in there. She ended up falling in to the empty box...good thing I was sitting close by! Silly girl!

Daddy showing her the Christmas tree for the first time! She was so good with it. I just put some 'baby safe' ornaments on the bottom and she only played with those.
Getting a big Christmas kiss from cousin Drew.

Auntie Ali wrapped her up with a big Christmas bow. What a cutie!

All this Christmas stuff is tiring!

Having fun playing with her new toy Aunt Ali, Uncle Mark and Drew gave her. She loves this toy!

Our first outing in the snow in Canada. She was a little shocked but the weather this day was actually pretty warm so it was very nice outside.

Posing with Aunty Lisa and Mommy. She had lots of fun with Aunty. As you can see Lisa and I look a lot alike and a few times she got us mixed up. HA!
Playing with Great-Grandpa Ernie.

Having a blast on Christmas morning. She loved all the presents but wouldn't stay focused long enough to open them as there was so much going on!

Logan having her 'bubba' with Aunty Veronica. Logan was so social - normally she doesn't take a bottle from anyone but Jacob and I so it was so great to see her be so comfortable with others. I was getting tired!

Playing with her cousins Adam and Jordyn. They couldn't get enough of her and took great care of their baby cousin.

Sitting and playing with cousin Brandon.

Hanging out in a snow bank and loving it!

We had the opportunity to have Logan baptized while we were home. It was a very nice service and meant so much to have her baptized in the Church I grew up in. Here she is showing off her baptismal gown that Grannie Evelyn and Grandpa Ernie bought her. It was so pretty - she looked like a little doll.

Logan with her God-mothers, Aunties Lisa and Ronda.

Pappa, Daddy, Mommy, Logan and Great-Granny Evelyn and Great-Grandpa Ernie after the baptism.

Now for the funny video...here she is feeding Mazzee some of her supper.

Look who is walking - well with some help!

We took this video over the weekend of Logan playing with her new walker! She loves it and we go up and down the hallway and through the living room many times! Getting my exercise! She is so cute because she just grins with pride the whole time and is quite impressed with herself. Enjoy!!

Happy Fall!

Happy Belated Halloween!

Our 9 month old little pumpkin experienced her first Halloween and we had a blast! We visited a pumpkin patch and on Halloween dressed up as a pumpkin. Ok, she only dressed up for about 5 minutes as her costume was too hot and too small but she looked adorable!

Logan is busy busy busy! She is wanting to walk so bad and is climbing up on everything she can. She no longer wants to crawl but walk hanging on to Daddy or Mommy. She also loves to dance - the song that she really gets bouncing to seems to be Brittany Spears "Womanizer". Lord help us!!!

Her favorite thing to do is go outside and pick up magnolia leaves and carry them around. Then when we aren't looking she tries to eat them. She is quite sneaky.

Here are some of our favorite pictures from this month so enjoy!

We went to our neighbour, Cheza's 2 year old birthday party and Logan dressed up in her party dress Auntie Sara bought her. She was precious!

Mimi and cousin Drew came with us to a Pumpkin Patch for some very cute pictures. Logan loved the pumpkins. We had to keep a close eye on her because she kept trying to eat the grass.

On this day she and I went to the mall and did some shopping. She had a blast, as you can see, carrying around the shopping bags. No matter where she went that bag was going with her. It was really funny because the bag kept getting in her way and she kept batting it away with her other hand. She has a grip like a vice and is always trying to climb up on something with her favorite toys in her hands.

Here we are at Mimi and Bubbas. Logan is looking at the singing Nebraska doll and was ecstatic watching it. She really freaks out when she sees it and starts screaming for joy. Really cute!

Some more pumpkin patch pictures with her Daddy.

Nice family picture.

And here she is having a blast in her NEW TUB TUB! The master bathroom remodel is very close to being finished and Logan and I snuck in one day and had a bath. She was a wiggle worm and wanted to go from one end of the tub to another. The bathroom is looking great and we cannot wait for it to be finished.

Our Trip to Canada

Hi All,
Logan is almost 9 months old and is getting so mobile. She is crawling all over the place and just this week started pulling herself up on things. She also says "Dada" and "Mama" now and likes to yell at things when she gets excited. Pretty amusing! She now has her first teeth - bottom 2 - thank goodness as her discomfort is gone - for now!

Logan and Mommy traveled to Canada at the beginning of October for a visit to see her Papa, aunties and cousins. We had a great trip and she was so good on the plane. She loved playing with her cousins and Auntie Lisa's dog - Mazzee. Below are her pictures from the trip. Enjoy!

See you soon with some pumpkin patch and Halloween pictures!!!
Love
Logan, Micki and Jacob

Logan and Papa enjoying the view!

She loved it outside and the cooler weather!

She was mesmerized by the lake.
Having fun with Auntie Lisa and cousin Jordyn

Auntie Lisa had a party for Logan and all her cousins came to play with her. In this picture is (back row) Adam, Mommy and Logan, Kelsie, Haleigh, (front row) Jordyn and Hanna.

Logan LOVED Mazzee and would just scream when she saw her. Mazzee was so patient with her!
Logan playing with Auntie Ronda and Kelsie.

Mommy and Logan at Kakabeka Falls.

Papa, Adam and Jordyn at the Falls.
She loved chewing on the beer bottle. She really wanted to drink it! Hmm...I wonder where she got that from?! :)

The little monkey crawled right under Papa's coffee table and thought it was a great place to hang out!

This is the view from Papa's yard. So beautiful and peaceful!!

We miss you already Papa, aunties and cousins!!!

Where has the time gone?

It is so hard to believe that it is the middle of September already! And..our little girl is almost 8 months old already!! The summer flew by and we are happy to see the cooler temperatures come along. Logan just loves it outside, so much so we can barely walk by the front door with out her grunting and reaching to go out. She is mesmerized by all the colors, trees and noises.

She is actually saying her first word and it was a wonderful birthday present for me too - yep, she says "Mama"! Mostly she says it when she is tired and I leave the room but I will take all I can get! Now we are working on "Dada" and I am sure that won't be too long off!

We have had a very fun month since our last post: we are now sitting up all on our own, we can crawl (not the formal on all fours crawling but she army crawls like a tough girl!), went to the Aquarium and loved it, watched her first Nebraska football game, and growls at her Daddy. Jacob can make her laugh at just about anything and they have a real blast together. Now if we can just get her first tooth in!

She is such a great baby and just plays and plays and makes us laugh - as you can see from the below pictures and video.

Enjoy!

Our video this month is of her jumping. She sure can get it going!

I love the big exercise ball. Here I decided to take a bite out of it!

I stole my Daddy's new Larry the Cable Guy Nebraska hat. I decided to give it back to him as it looked better on him!

I love watermelon!

Having fun with my "Mama!"

Look I am sitting up!

I love to play with my books and Mommy and Daddy will read them to me.

How cute am I?!

Here I am relaxing after watching the first Nebraska football game of the year. Daddy made husker dogs and I ate some plums to celebrate. "Go Big Red!"
